Working hours and benefits

  • The museum is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 18.00

    Closed on Mardi Gras, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

  • On the last Sunday of every month, admission is free

Information during martial law

Guidance for visitors upon hearing an ‘AIR RAID ALARM’

  • Please pay close attention to the signals from the warning
    system and announcements from the Holodomor Museum administration

  • The museum closes in the event of an alarm. The nearest shelters are: the underground passageway on Slavy Square or the ‘Arsenalna’ metro station.

  • Do not leave children under the age of 18 unattended

  • Strictly follow the instructions issued by the Museum’s management

  • To provide assistance, where necessary, to those who need it

  • During an evacuation, do not use the lifts; use the stairs and proceed to the designated shelters

How to get to the museum

    From the ‘Arsenalna’ metro station, you can take bus numbers 24, 25, Tr 38 or shuttle bus number 470.

    The bus stop is located on the left-hand side of Ivan Mazepa Street; it can be reached from the metro station via an underground or overground passage.

Rules for visitors

    • 01. Don’t rush

      This exhibition contains sensitive historical and emotional content. You are
      welcome to leave the exhibition space at any time to rest or take a break.

    • 02. To take photographs

      Photography for personal, non-commercial
      use is permitted.

    • 03. Ask for help

      Our staff are always on hand to answer your questions, show you where to sit or assist with accessibility requirements.

    • 04. Bringing service animals

      Trained service and assistance dogs are fully permitted in the museum.

  • We would ask you to refrain from

    • 01. Using a flash or tripods

      To ensure a comfortable environment for all visitors, the use of flash photography and tripods is prohibited.

    • 02. Touching the exhibits

      Please help to preserve these important historical artefacts by
      not touching the display cases or the exhibits.

    • 03. Bringing food or drink

      To protect the exhibition galleries, please consume food
      and drink outside the museum.
