The film tells how the communist regime artificially created the Holodomor in the Ukrainian SSR and in other regions, especially the Kuban. The authors widely used newsreels of the collectivization and industrialization, interview with the witnesses, and folk song material of Ukraine, Kuban and Stavropol kray.
